Swimmers Joshua Wise Bangura and Isha Kanu will both be making their bows in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games in the Butterfly and Breaststroke categories, respectively, in Heat 1. The two swimmers are participating in their first Commonwealth Games, despite the former having had experience in major international events, including the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Sarah Kanu is making her first bow in a major event, and the youngster hopes to make an immediate impact on the big stage. The duo are in high spirits, anticipating qualification to the next stage of the event.

Today’s event will be held at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Smethwick, West Midlands, at 10:30 Am. The swimmers are the country’s first competitors in the 22nd edition of the Commonwealth Games.
