Thomas Daddy Brima Lauds Orthodox FC

Orthodox FC Pays courtesy call on SLFA President

Orthodox FC U-13 team that recently participated in the Orange Sponsors You Nations tournament organized in Morocco on the 2nd to 4th July, has paid a courtesy visit on the president of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Thomas Daddy Brima upon return from an impressive performance that saw them came third out of ten countries.
Orthodox FC (U-13) represented Sierra Leone virtue of their champions status in the *Orange Juniors Challenge* organized by *Orange SL* for U-13 players in December, 2021.
Introducing the team to the General Secretary of the FA, Youth Football Coordinator, Alimamy Kuraish Conteh, gave a brief background to Orthodox FC’s recent success. He gave an insight on the team’s visit, which he says is to interact with SLFA’s top guns as a means of motivation after a laudable performance for the club and the country.
The General Secretary Christopher Kamara in welcoming the boys, lauded their performance which he says must be celebrated as a nation.
“On behalf of us here at the secretariat, we warmly welcome you all future stars of our nation’s football”, he said.
He continued; “it’s indeed great to see youth football celebrated in the highest level. Your success is not only for the club, but for us as an Association and the country as a whole”. 
A gong for third place won by the team was presented to the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA). 
Admonishing the boys in his office, Thomas Daddy Brima praised the boys for an exemplary performance put in during their time in Morocco. “This trophy is just a start to many more to come”, he said.
“As an Association, we welcome your achievement with open hands. This is just to show that when the right things are done, we achieve the right results”, he continues.
He lauded Orthodox FC’s management for being able to put the right structures in place that have yielded good dividend in a short period of time.
“Kudos to the management of Orthodox for a great work done with these boys in a short while. It’s indeed no secret that when the will to do the right things is there, the result will always be positive”, President Daddy Brima maintained.
He also commended head coach Serry Billy Turay for his fatherly leadership to the boys which has seen them produced the needed results over the years.
“Coach Serry Turay has really done a great job, kudos to him. His work with this team is quite plausible and as a federation, we are proud of him”, he ended.
An Umbro jersey each was presented to each player of the delegation as a gift for their great performance in Morocco.
